Lucas was formally introduced to acting and theatre in high school.  Born and raised in southern New Jersey, he split his time between suburbia and farm life.  He got a taste of his love for dance when he was 8 years old, but spent most of his childhood switching interests through sports and the visual arts.  Never really shaking his interest in dance, he couldn’t help but choreograph his own dances in the backyard in his spare time, as a child.

In his teens, his friends asked him to join the school musical, “Hello Dolly!”  Despite his shyness and reluctance, he went to a “test” rehearsal and never looked back.  The magic of the stage and the delight he could give to an audience caught his attention and became his most prominent focus.

When college called, he still wasn’t sure whether his career path would be in the performing arts.  Right before beginning his college career, those close to him urged him to pursue a career in the arts.  Luckily, Lucas listened and switched his major at the last minute to Theatre Arts.  He graduated magna cum laude from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Minor in Musical Theatre.

His professional career began at the acclaimed George Street Playhouse, and has continued with many regional theaters in the NYC metro area. He was even nominated for a regional theatre award for his portrayal of Garry/Roger in “Noises Off!” with Porchlight Productions.  Helping to develop new plays and musicals for theaters such as Workshop Theater, Women’s Theater Company, and Porchlight Productions has been a highlight of his career.  More recently, Lucas has begun to expand into the on-screen world with principle roles in commercials, web series, and short films.

On a personal note, Lucas loves spending time with his family and friends, especially his niece and nephew.  He loves learning new things and being a “Jack of all trades” remains a badge of honor for him.
